"The main goal for the 'Americas Region' (US, Canada, Central and South America) is to increase
the number of partners in the region. Target areas include Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Costa Rica – in order to strengthen significant market niches," said Fernando Espinosa, IRC Global Executive Search Partners Americas' Regional Group Leader.
Key developments At the recent IRC Global Executive Search Partners Americas' regional meeting in Miami, Florida,
key development areas were identified:
"In the US, we want to attract best in class boutique retained-search firms that
specialize in IRC's industrial practices and certain functional areas," explained
Mr. Espinosa. "In South and Central America, our objective is to attract boutique, retained generalist search firms to service clients' needs across functions and industries; Colombia and
Argentina are also important targets. We see this expansion project as necessary to continue to deliver optimal services to our clients regionally and worldwide."

Mining and/or extractive industry and supporting industries were identified as key areas.
"The synergies within the Americas' region and the experience we could bring to this market supported our decision to focus on this growth market," explained Mr. Espinosa.
